  • How cookies are used on this Site.
  • What choices are available to you regarding the use of your information.
  • How you can correct any inaccuracies in your information.

Personal Information Collection, Use and Sharing

We collect personal information about you, such as your contact information, that you provide through the Site or otherwise communicate to us, including as a result of creating an account, filling out an application through the Site, registering for an event, requesting information, responding to surveys, or making a payment or donation to us.  We also may obtain information about you from third party sources, such as our service providers, vendors, and social media sites.  Finally, we and our third party service providers may automatically record certain information about how you use the Site by using cookies and similar tracking technologies; however, we will not associate this information with your personally identifiable information unless required to do so to cooperate with law enforcement or to comply with law.  We may collect other information from you through the Site that is not specifically listed here, but we will only use such information in accordance with this privacy policy.

Please note that our third party services providers may collect some sensitive personal information about you (e.g., social security numbers, credit card information, or information related to racial or ethnic origin or gender) through the Site to process your application, maintain your account, or otherwise provide you with our services.  For example, we use Infinite Campus to host our student, parent and teacher portals, and we use OnBoard to manage our admissions process.  We respect your privacy, and we will use measures to protect against unauthorized access to or use of this sensitive information and comply with all laws related to the collection, use and disclosure of this information.

We use your personal information to provide this Site and our services; respond to your requests, questions, comments and feedback; perform website analytics and database management services; create and maintain your account; send you newsletters, event notices, reunion invitations, and marketing communication; and for compliance, fraud prevention and safety purposes. We may also use your information to manage and serve ads on third party sites and to tailor ads to your interests and browsing history (called remarketing or interest-based advertising).  We do not sell your personal information.  While we reserve the right to license or sell aggregate, de-identified information about the visitors to our Site, this information will not contain your personal information or otherwise be individually identifiable.

We will not share your personal information with third parties without your consent except in the following circumstances: as needed for third party service providers to provide us with services (for example, to help us design and operate the Site, provide services to support the Site, process your information, and provide communication on our behalf); with our partners who may offer services to you jointly with us; with class reunion coordinators to invite you to reunions and class-specific groups; and as necessary to comply with applicable law and for other compliance, fraud prevention and safety purposes.  Unless otherwise indicated at the time we collect your information, if we allow third parties to access the personal information we collect, we will have contractual provisions or other appropriate protections in place to ensure such access is for limited purposes and in compliance with this privacy policy.

 Cookies and Other Tracking Technology

We use “cookies” on this Site. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a website visitor’s hard drive to help improve your access to the website and identify repeat visitors. For instance, when we use a cookie to identify you, you would not have to login a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our Site. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our Site visitors to enhance the experience on our Site and allows us to better educate our community.

Cookies are not the only way to track visitors to a website. We may use similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called “tracking pixels” or “clear gifs”). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has visited our Sites.  If you sign up to receive our e-mails, we will also use cookies in conjunction with these emails. When your browser downloads any graphic content in the e-mail, we may also place a cookie on your computer that will tell us if you come to our Site later.

In addition to our own cookies and tracking technologies, we collaborate with various third-party service providers, such as Google, who also use cookies to help us optimize our Site, understand more about the visitors to our Site, and to provide advertising more targeted to your interests.

How Can You Disable Cookies and Other Tracking Technology?  Most browsers let you remove or reject cookies. To do this, follow the instructions in your browser settings.  Information about opting out of cookie-based advertising can be found at: http://optout.networkadvertising.org and https://www.neustar.biz/privacy/opt-out. Please keep in mind that cookies and similar technologies are an important part of how the Sites work, and removing, rejecting, or limiting the use of these tools might affect the availability and functionality of our Sites.   For more information about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set on your computer or mobile device and how to manage and delete them, visit www.allaboutcookies.org and www.youronlinechoices.com.

Some Internet browsers may be configured to send “Do Not Track” signals to the online services that you visit. We currently do not respond to “Do Not Track” or similar signals. To find out more about “Do Not Track,” please visit http://www.allaboutdnt.com.

Google Services

We use Google Analytics to help us gather statistical information about the visitors to our Site and to market our services. Specifically, we use Google Ads remarketing technology to market our services throughout the Internet, but only if you have turned on Ads Personalization through Google.  We also use Google Analytics to help us gather statistical information about the visitors to our Sites and how they use the Sites on an anonymous, aggregate basis.  We may use this information to gain a better understanding of the users of our Sites, to improve our Sites, and to improve our services.  We will not associate any data we gather through Google Analytics with your personally identifiable information unless required to do so to cooperate with law enforcement or other governmental request or to comply with law. To understand how Google Analytics collects and processes data, please visit Google’s Privacy Policy.  Google Analytics relies on cookies. In addition to controlling cookies generally as described above, you may have the ability to specifically control the type of information that Google Analytics uses. You can opt-out of Google Analytics by visiting the Google Ads Preferences Manager. In addition, to provide website visitors more choice on how their data is collected by Google Analytics, Google has developed an Opt-out Browser add-on, which is available by visiting Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, to enable you to opt-out of Google’s programs.

Years down the road as we look back at this time, our daughter won’t remember what math formula she mastered or which paper she wrote; however, she will certainly remember how invested her teachers were and how you all cared for your students. Thank you for making these kids feel as connected to CC as possible right now.
