Showing Students the Way

As the leading department at Catholic Central, the theology program guides each student as they deepen their knowledge of the Catholic faith through the rigors of Catholic teachings and its relevance throughout their lives.

Through many opportunities, the students at Catholic Central develop a greater love of God, respect for the dignity of all people, and appreciation of the value of all creation. The curriculum balances understanding with living our faith — each student has the opportunity to serve others in response to Christ’s call for justice and be people of conscience motivated by the Holy Spirit. The curriculum follows the framework established by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, and texts are approved by the ad hoc committee. All teachers for the theology department are certified Master Catechists and have earned advanced degrees in theology and religious studies.
