ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2025

JOURNALISM APPLICATION - Journalism Application: Ms. Oman is looking for students who are interested in writing for the Blue & White Newspaper. Please apply by Feb. 28th.

MODEL UN - The Model UN Team is still looking for interested individuals for the upcoming conference at MSU, March 14-16. Interested in international politics and diplomacy? This club is for YOU! See Mr. Schrems (Room 306) for details.

DIGITAL POSTERS - Reminder to All Students and Staff - Instead of physical posters, please remember to send your digital posters for announcements and promotions to be displayed on our screens. The posters should be in a 1920x1080 format and saved as either a PNG or JPEG file. Canva is a great tool to use—it’s free, easy, and has plenty of templates to help you design your poster. Once it's ready, send your design to Ms. Malson at nicollemalson@grcatholiccentral.org. If you need assistance with design or don’t know how to get started, feel free to ask Ms. Malson for help!

AP TESTING - Advanced Placement testing begins Monday, May 5th, 2025, and goes through Friday, May 12th, 2025. HERE is the tentative testing schedule. All testing will take place at the CAT. Transportation to and from the CAT for testing is NOT provided. If you do not drive, please make transportation arrangements.

Advanced Placement testing fees are due in full by Friday, March 7th, 2025. You may submit payment to Catholic Central’s Guidance Office by check or money order payable to Catholic Central High School, or you may pay with debit/credit card through Infinite Campus. If you have any questions, please contact your counselor or Ms.Tejeda.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY - Enjoy working with kids? And would you also enjoy a volunteer activity that involves running? San Juan Diego Academy is looking for volunteers to help coach the Total Trek Quest program this Spring at the school. TTQ is a program for 3rd to 5th grade boys that teaches them to make positive life choices through running, culminating in a competitive 5K at the end of the practices. Practices run from 3:40 to 5:10 p.m., beginning March 11 and ending on May 15. (There are no practices during Spring break.) All you would need to do is run with the boys and encourage them to keep moving toward their goal. Running times range from 20 minutes to 40 minutes. There will be trained coaches present who will be responsible for actually running practices. Coaches may be male or female, but must be at least 16 years old. If you are interested, or might have questions, please contact Tom Sarb at tpsarb@gmail.com. Thank you.
