Attention Juniors and Seniors:

Nearly 60 different colleges and universities are scheduled to visit our school this fall.  You are invited sign-up in your Naviance account to meet various college representatives who come to CCHS.  Information about each college visit is posted in Naviance under What’s New on the homepage or under the Colleges home section.

Simply log into your Naviance account- Find the list of college presentations under What’s New- Click on individual colleges to REGISTER.  The presentations take place during Monday/Wednesday lunches and during Tuesday/Thursday/Friday Focus sessions.  An email is sent weekly to remind students.  Juniors & Seniors must get permission in advance from their teachers of Monday/Wednesday (carriers 3,4,5,7) lunch visits.  It is not advisable to miss instructional time for college presentations unless the teacher has granted permission in advance for the student to sign up in Naviance.  Juniors and Seniors who are signed up in Naviance on Focus days will be locked into that Focus session- PLEASE pay attention to dates/times/locations for the presentations you sign up to attend.
College rep visits at CCHS are perfect for expanding your college list or getting more personalized answers to specific college-questions.  You can also learn how to schedule a campus tour.  Juniors are strongly encouraged to kick-start their college planning by attending college rep visits in the fall.  (More details will be sent regarding the counselors’ work with college planning in November of Junior year)

PRAYER – A DOMINICAN BLESSING FOR YOU –   May you be made holy by the God who knows you in your struggle. This is the God who knows you well and understands your crying need to know. May you be willing to wrestle with God, like Jacob before you, seeking always to learn the ways of God. May you come away from the mat with a deeper understanding and trust in what it means to be faithful and may you be a faithful companion to all those who struggle. May the God of Understanding bless you. –Maxine Shonk, OP
